Lorraine T. Pilling (nee Schell) lovingly known as “Lori”, of Philadelphia, formerly of Southwest Philadelphia passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on June 21, 2026.
Lori was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph & Helen Schell; devoted wife of Rich Pilling; loving mother of Lorraine Jackson; and adoring Mommom of Noah and Avery.
She is also survived by her loving siblings: Joseph Schell, Frederick “Freddy” Schell (Regina), Helen “Lynnie” Dougherty (the late Thomas), and Veronica “Vicky” Schell (the late Philip). Lori was cherished by her many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Lori found joy in life’s simple pleasures, watching classic television with her beloved husband, sharing laughter with family and friends, and spending time being silly with her grandchildren.
Known as the life of the party, Lori had a gift of bringing laughter and happiness wherever she went. Her kind and generous spirit made everyone feel loved, welcomed and appreciated. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and unconditional love that will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday June 30th 6-7:15PM at Danjolell – Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Rd. Aston. Celebration of life will be at 7:30PM in our main chapel.
Interment will be private.
