Madeline “Mattie” Scarangelli (née Bianchi), age 84, of Havertown, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 25, 2026.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Jerry Bianchi, her siblings, Gloria Van Osten, Janet Becker and Mario Bianchi. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ronald Scarangelli; her daughters, Deborah Scarangelli, Darlene Marconi (David), and Denise Prosser (Daniel); her grandchildren, Salvatore, Gabriella, David, Ava, Anthony, and Eva; and her siblings, Caesar Bianchi, Albert Bianchi, Mary Tulli, and Joann Mavromanolis.

Mattie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was a woman who treasured the simple things in life—shopping, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and being surrounded by the people she loved. She especially loved the holidays and the joy of having her family together.

Mattie loved getting together with her friends and enjoying a good time. And if there was one place she especially loved to visit, it was the casino. Her friends there became like a second family to her. Many wonderful memories were made during those trips, filled with laughter, friendship, and good times.

Though she may no longer be with us, her love, laughter, and beautiful memories will live on in our hearts. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, October 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the D’Anjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008, followed by her Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008.

Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
