Mahesh Inder Singh Giare, aged 91, of Downingtown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on July 9th 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 1st 1935, in Patiala, Punjab, India to Kishan Lal Giare and Kamla Devi Giare. Mahesh was one of seven siblings: Joginder, Harinder, Govinder, Devinder, Rajesh, and Swatantrata.
He is survived by his wife, Kusum, his children and their spouses Deepak and Navneet, Namrata and Satendra, and Akash and Nancy. His grandchildren Divya, Smriti, Jessica, and Jayden.
At an early age, Mahesh became the head of the family, taking care of his mother, brothers, and sister. He was an active member of his community, as the president of the Bundela Community in Patiala.
He worked hard as a man of science, graduating with a B.S.C. in Chemistry from Asutosh College, Kolkata, India. Throughout his career in India, he became an expert in electro-mechanical carbon manufacturing in Patiala. His goal was to make a diamond from carbon, but the real diamond in his life was Kusum.
Mahesh made the journey to the U.S. in the 1980s. He made a career at Omega Flex working as an assembler from 1988 to 2009. When he was not working, Mahesh enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, enjoying a round of carrom board, playing Chinese checkers, solitaire, or chess, building toy garages, building bird houses, and taking his grandkids to the dollar store and Kerr Park. He loved his great-grand-dogs, Rana, Vesper, Cooper, Ava, and Murphy.
Mahesh will be remembered for his kindness, humility, humor, and dedication to his family and community.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his Visitation, Sunday, July 12th, 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM followed by his Celebration of Life 1:00 PM in the Chapel at the D’Anjolell Memorial Home of Frazer, 392 Lancaster Ave, Frazer, PA 19335. Inurnment Private.
