Marc “Mags” Anthony Maglio, 65, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, in Wilmington, Delaware.
Born on February 24, 1961, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Marc was the beloved son of the late Vito “Vic” John Maglio and Constance “Connie” Maglio (Perri).
Marc was known for his unwavering loyalty, generosity, positive outlook, and remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel welcome. He possessed a rare gift for connecting with people, bringing warmth, laughter, and genuine friendship wherever he went. Whether with family, lifelong friends, or someone he had just met, Marc had a way of making people feel like they belonged.
From an early age, Marc was drawn to the funeral service profession, inspired by a desire to help families through life’s most difficult moments. He later built a successful career in transportation and logistics, proudly operating Bel-Air Expediting alongside his mother, Connie. In later years, he rekindled his passion for funeral service, returning to the profession that had first captured his interest.
Marc embraced life to the fullest and had an extraordinary ability to bring people together. Whether he was singing a Frank Sinatra classic, lacing up his skates for a hockey game with his close-knit group of friends, or sharing stories around the dinner table, Marc had a way of making every gathering feel like a celebration.
He had a lifelong appreciation for Cadillacs, was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, and looked forward each year to participating in Philadelphia’s Mummers Parade, a tradition he thoroughly enjoyed. Hockey was more than just a pastime—it was one of his greatest passions, and some of his fondest memories were made on the ice alongside his close friends. He treasured the companionship of his beloved cockatoo, Chief, and found great joy in good food, good music, and the company of family and friends. His infectious enthusiasm, unmistakable charm, larger-than-life personality, and remarkable ability to live fully in the moment are the qualities that will be remembered most.
Marc is survived by his sister, Donna Gutierrez (the late John Gutierrez); his brother, Victor Maglio (Elisa); his nephew, Vincent Gutierrez (Lia); his niece, Janae Vargas (Ryan); his nephew, Eric Maglio; his niece, Renae Maglio; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and many beloved cousins from the Maglio, Carrozza, and Perri families.
Those fortunate enough to know Marc will remember not only the sound of his voice and the joy of his laughter, but also the kindness, generosity, and friendship he so freely shared. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created will continue to bring smiles to those who loved him.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his Visitation, Friday, July 17th, 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM followed by his Memorial Service, 11:00 AM in the Main Chapel at the DAnjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008.
Interment will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery.
