Mario Squillacioti passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 9th, 2025, of Aldan,

formerly of SW Phila. Mario was born in Calabria, Italy on May 30th, 1941. He served as a Sharpshooter in the United States Army. He was a Union Carpenter, then went on to be the owner of Squiggles’ Deli.

He enjoyed fixing things, and he could fix anything.

Husband of the late Maria F. Squillacioti (nee Pace).

Son of the late Vincenzo and Maria Squillacioti, brother of the late Maria, Antonette, Guiseppe,

Giovanni, Salvatore, Rosa and Lucia all of Italy.

Cherished Father of Vincent (Lisa), Paula (Thomas) Squillacioti – Orme, Michael.

Nonno of Michael, Alana, Dominique, Salvatore, Noah, Ava Maria, and Luca Merkle.

Great Nonno of Dante Anthony and Natalia Jade, and Melania Magnin

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday June 16^th 9:15- 10:45 am all at St. Joseph Church 500 Woodland Ave. Collingdale.

His funeral Mass be at 11 am Interment will be at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Mario, You were the voice of reason for sure as Paula states. Steve and I and the Girls will miss you so much. You talked Steve into starting his own business just by saying, “You have headaches?!? Why you have everyone else’s headaches” that is how he started and he has never forgotten that! I will never forget all of our visits to both you and Marie throughout the years. You will be deeply missed but not forgotten. I know you are at peace and have lots of company to play pinnocle with. Please give my mother and Marie a kiss from me.
