Marion M. DiDonato of Broomall, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on January
22, 2026, at the age of 97. Marion lived a long and meaningful life defined by devotion to her
family, pride in her work, and quiet faith. A gifted seamstress, she shared her remarkable skill
both professionally and lovingly for family and friends, creating not only finely crafted garments
but lasting memories stitched with care.
Marion was also an exceptional cook whose kitchen was a place of warmth, comfort, and joy.
For decades, she expressed her love through lovingly prepared meals that brought family and
friends together. She treasured time spent with those she loved and found her greatest happiness
in their company, especially in the lives of her cherished grandchildren.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Salvatore and Florence Gargano, and sister of the late
Alfonso, John, Horace, Lucy, Anthony, Neil, Pasquale, Joseph, and Madeleine Gargano.
Devoted wife of the late Ralph S. DiDonato; loving mother of the late Ralph P. DiDonato,
Anthony S. DiDonato, and Pasquale R. (Joanne) DiDonato. Proud grandmother of David P.
(Megan) DiDonato, Nicholas P. DiDonato, Valarie (John) Lazaro, Oliver DiDonato, Anthony S.
DiDonato, Jr., Jordan Schumacher, Danielle (Bertrand) Darnault, and Michael A. (Francesca)
DiDonato as well as three great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral gathering at Saint Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence
Road, Broomall, PA 19008 on Friday, February 6 starting at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass
at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
