Marvin A. Preske D.P.M.

Marvin A. "Marv" Preske, D.P.M., age 62, of Newtown Square, PA, died suddenly on May 20, 2005.

Dr. Preske served as Chairman of Podriatic Medicine/Surgery at the Bryn Mawr Hospital and Co-Director of the Bryn Mawr Wound Care and Vascular Center.

He was the son of the late Marvin S. and Esther nee Reigert. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Linda M. nee Parnagian; son, Brandon M.; daughters, Marin Preske and Denise DeFries; brother, Terry; sister, Jeanne Zuzek; mother-in-law, Mary; brother-in-law, Dr. Grant Parnagian, and uncle, Bob Mary Sarkisian.

Dr. Preske was born and raised in Glenolden. He was graduated from Thiel College B.A. and Philadelphia College of Podiatric edicine D.P.M. After completing his Residency at the Cleveland Foot Clinic, he established himself in the practice of podiatric medicine in the Phila. area.

His professional associations include: Fellow of the American College of Foot Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association APMA, Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association PPMA and the Delaware County Podiatric Medical Society, among others. Additionally, his hospital affiliations included: The Bryn Mawr Hospital Chairman of Podiatric Medicine/Surgery and past Residency Director of Podiatric Medicine/Surgery, Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Springfield Hospital Past Chairman of Podiatric Medicine/Surgery, Riddle Memorial Hospital, Community Hospital, Lankenau Hospital, Jefferson Health Care Systems and Paoli Hospital. He was Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Care and was licensed to practice medicine by the State of Pennsylvania.

Marv’s many friends remember him as not only a skilled professional but as a devoted family man, a husband, father and friend committed to his faith, and a concerned citizen with a strong sense of community. To all of his endeavors, he brought energy, drive, commmitment and intensity, whether in business, faith, golf, skiing, sailing or general comaraderie.
