Bowers1936 ~ 2021Mary Catherine “Sugar” age 85, of Exton, PA formally of Darby, PA peacefully passed away on November 30, 2021.Mary grew up in West Philadelphia and was a graduate of West Catholic Girl’s High School.Upon getting married in 1956, Mary was a resident of Darby (Lansdowne Park), PA and was a member of Blessed Virgin Mary Parish for over fifty (50) years.Mary worked for the local newspaper, The Suburban Weekly, as a proofreader and ended her career as an Executive Secretary for Cigna Corporation.Mary and her family spent many happy years having family gatherings at the Darby Swim Club, #116.In addition to spending most of her time with her children and grandchildren, Mary loved to go dancing and was often referred to as “The Dancing Queen.”Predeceased by her beloved husband Terrence J. Bowers, Sr., Cherished Mother of Maureen Ciesielka (Richard), the late Terrence J. Bowers, Jr., Christopher Bowers, Kolleen Bowers, Susanne Sabatino (Jerry) andJohn Bowers (Carolyn), her 4 adoring grandchildren, R. Terrence Ciesielka (Kate), Bettina Dalessandro (David), Sarina and Shane Bowers and her 4 great grandchildren, Teagan, Owen and Paige Ciesielka and Baby Dalessandro, her brother and sisters in law, as well as many nieces and nephews.Relatives and Friends are invited to her Viewing on Friday, December 10, 2021 9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow (ALL IN CHURCH)11:00 a.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1101 Main Street, Darby, PA 19023. A private burial to follow at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.Contributions in Mary’s name can be made to The American Diabetes Association 150 Monument Road, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 would be appreciated.Arr: Danjolell-Barone
