Mary (nee Oro/Ismael/Santos), age 95, on May 12, 2026
of Overbrook Farms, Philadelphia.

Born December 20, 1930 in the Philippines, becoming the first woman in her family to immigrate to the United States in 1952.

Preceded in death by her first husband and father to her children, Joseph Ismael, their son, Joseph Ismael Jr., and her second husband, Rudy R. Santos.

Survived by her daughters Edna Darrah (Charles- deceased), Maryanne Ismael (Bobby Rose), and Patricia Liberati (Joe), her four Grandchildren; Amanda Darrah Convento (Gil), C. Joseph Darrah, Rudy Lucia and Joe Jr. Liberati, six Great Grandchildren; Makayla Darrah, Addie Albriton, Jovee and Alabama Darrah, Greyson and Anderson Convento.

Mary’s wish was to bring family here from the Philippines to have a better education and life. She accomplished that and there are now four generations and growing.
She was the Matriarch of our family and will be sorely missed.

Mary loved to spend time with family, friends and her Filipino community playing mahjong, trips to the casino, gardening, and feeding everyone who entered her home.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday morning May 20th ; 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Celebration of Life (will be all In church) at St. Bernadette of Lourdes 1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Interment at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Rest in God's loving arms Auntie Mary,my late Nanay's cousin and my Ninang too. Thank you for your love, generosity and kindness among many others. I will surely miss your stories, cooking and tulips that you plant in the garden blooming every spring. You will be remembered for your resilience and sacrifices so others may live a better life in the USA. Your memory will remain in our hearts. Hugs to my cousins and relatives there in Philly. God will comfort you knowing that she is now in a better place where there are no tears and pain.
