What a wonderful tribute to a great man! He was kind and fun to spend time with. He was so blessed to have such a coonected family and especially grandchildren to share his life. He will be missed by so many people who were lucky enough to know him.

Please except our condolences, we are so grateful to have known "Mr. Matthew". They boys enjoyed the little talks with him and his lawn care enthusiasm was contagious. We will miss his calm demeanor and kind words, but are glad his suffering is over. May you find peace in the hope of meeting in the presence of the Lord.

What I remember of Matt is almost every horse show he was there. When Erin rode Billy, ugh. And even Sonny. "Why did he do that he'd ask of the horse. Billy was a stinker. Sonny had issues. Never mad, atleast that I could tell. His smile. His smile was the best. Always happy. I haven't seen him in quite a long time. Erin kept me in touch when we'd have a catch up via phone. RIP Matt, you are loved.

Matt and I played football together in high school and lost touch but became reacquainted later on in life. His friendship was so appreciated, thank you Matt. You will be missed.
Cousin Kenny and wife Pam left a message on December 4, 2023:
Life is precious and grand: the matchless joys of children and grandchildren prized by you, Carol and ‘Grop.’ Yet, life can be so ugly too. That perverse and insidious disease which rob you of “Matt’” love and presence. We genuinely hurt for each of you. The Sun is setting now—we cannot see those brighter lands at our feet; nor the the flower-strewn path withheld from our vision. Yet the Saints gather by perpetual light at the River beside the Throne of God. Hold one another tight in your present stream of tears; yet, find glimpses of unconquerable light in memories shared of those matchless joys. Pam and I gladly make a donation in lieu of flowers. Together we cherish and keep you all in love. Kenny & Pam

Condolences to the Nolan family. I wrestled with Matt and shared classes with him and his brother. Such shock to all of us. May peace of spirit be with the family. Matt will be missed by all of us.
