Michael J. Santacroce Sr.

Michael J. Santacroce, Sr., age 83, of Palm Beach, Fl, New York City and formerly of Oradell, NJ and Newtown Square, PA, died on August 30, 2008.

He was the husband of the late Mary D. nee Giannone.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Irma nee Shapiro; his children, Anthony A., Michael J. Jr., Joseph M. Darlene, Marianne E. Faurer Bruce, Sari Bailey and Beth Volin; his sister, Lucy Fell, also 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Mr. Santacroce was a former Revlon Executive and was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 15, 1925. He was the son of Antonio and Bice Santcroce. He grew up in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia and graduated from Overbrook High School. He was a WWII Army Corps veteran and attended Villanova University, where he majored in Business and Finance. He was a member of the varsity football team and graduated in 1949. He was a Senior Vice President of Revlon from 1982 to 1998 and prior to that, Vice President of Sales of J.B. Williams Co. He was highly respected
by his peers and customers in the retail industries.

While residing in Oradell, NJ for 18 years, he was a member of the local Lions Club. Upon retirement, he was on his HOA board in Palm Beach, FL for 10 years, serving as president for 2 terms. He was a devoted husband and dedicated family man who left a positive impression on all he met.

We tried to be with you today but the weather didnot cooperate.We were with Michael for 47 years and both luved and respscted him beyond words.As for the children we watched you grow up to become great people and know that Mike loved you all and was very proud of his family.He and Irma were great to be with and she was a great and caring wife.Bless you all.
