Neil Marquette

Neil Marquette, 73, of Malvern, PA, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023, surrounded by his children at Paoli Hospital. Neil was born on April 10, 1950 to the late Julius W. Marquette and Grace McBride Marquette of Strafford, PA. He was a graduate of Conestoga High School in 1969 and went on to play football at Ohio University. 

In his youth, he charted a boat in St. Thomas before going on to work for Hungerford Insulation for over 20 years. Upon his retirement from Hungerford, Neil established his own contracting business, Chester County Contractors. Neil enjoyed traveling, boating, sports, and spending time by the ocean. Neil will be remembered most for his charismatic personality.

Neil was predeceased by his wife, Cynthia Rich Marquette. He is survived by his son, Eric Marquette (Samantha), daughter, Kathryn Barros (Geovani), and step-daughter, Courtney Richardson (Doug). He leaves behind six grandchildren, Molly and Quinn Marquette, Cameron Barros, and McKenzie, Sebastian, and Declan Richardson. He is the beloved brother of Jack Marquette (Sandy), Eileen Reilly (Ed), and Kyle Koeneman (Paul) and the uncle of David Marquette, Kim Batina, Christopher Koeneman, and Kevin Koeneman.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00am at the D’anjollel Memorial Home in Frazer, PA.
