PIERANTOZZI
Patricia (Pat) Rose Pierantozzi, of Millsboro, DE, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025. Born July 9, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pat grew up in Lansdowne, PA, and later made West Chester, PA, her home for more than 30 years while raising her family. She graduated from West Catholic Girls High School and earned her Medical Technology degree from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate Hospital. Pat will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering determination, and her role as everyone’s greatest supporter and champion.
Pat began her career as head of the bacteriology lab at Graduate Hospital and later worked in virology at Smith Kline and French. She eventually transitioned into business, co-owning East Coast Cycle Supply in Glenolden, PA, with her husband, Anthony, for over 25 years.
Pat was the devoted wife of her beloved husband of 62 years, Anthony D. (Tony/Tozzi) Jr., and loving mother to her son, Anthony D. III (Donna), and daughter, Carolyn Durso (Michael). She cherished her two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and held her sister, Nancy (late Francis) Kuehn, especially dear to her heart. Pat is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including grands, and shared a special bond with her nephews Joseph P. Connor (Tyree) and Steven Connor (Tara) and her niece Alison Carlin (Mike), whom she loved beyond measure.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose (née Zampitella) and Daniel P. Martin; her sister, Mary Ellen Koerner; and her brother, Robert Martin.
In the late 1950s and early 1960s, Pat was a proud member of the Ridley Park Rangers, Tri-Community Cadets, and Vasella Musketeers Drum and Bugle Corps. At a time when few women marched in horn lines, she earned the top spot as lead soprano—a role she treasured. Her drum corps experience shaped her life, introducing her to Tony and lifelong friendships. Later, Pat volunteered with the Iron Cross and Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, where her children marched. Her dedication—teaching, driving buses, cooking, sewing uniforms and flags, and selling souvenirs—earned her and Tony a place in the Crossmen Hall of Fame.
Pat achieved a second-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do karate. Her impeccable taste was evident in her fashion sense, interior decorating, gardening, and landscaping. She loved sewing, flower arranging, and all things creative. Pat enjoyed cooking for her husband, experimenting with new recipes, and was known for her charcuterie boards and signature biscotti.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Mass at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 East Pleasant Grove Rd., West Chester, PA 19382, on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
