Patricia (“Patty Lou”) Whitcomb, 75, of Springfield, formerly of Folcroft, PA, peacefully passed away, on Saturday morning April 18, 2015.
She was born in Columbus, IN, to Arthur and Dorothy Lego on January 1, 1940. She married her beloved husband Harry L. Whitcomb on April 9, 1960 and earned her Associate’s Degree in teaching from Franklin College. Patty had a strong faith in God and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She loved life and always had a positive attitude and optimistic outlook in the face of battling multiple sclerosis for over thirty years.
She is survived by her five daughters, Jeannette Whitcomb (Robert), Cheryl Ramagano (Paul), Denise Ward (Daniel), Kimberly Eichman (Eugene),Valerie Whitcomb and six grandchildren, Edward, Paul, Matthew, Samuel, Harry and Colleen.
Funeral services will be held in Hayden, IN, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Harry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
