Pia Annamaria Viola

Pia Annamaria, (nee Gabriele) age 96, on March 17, 2024, of Sterling, VA, formerly of Havertown, PA.

Pia was born on December 17, 1927 in Fresagrandinaria, Italy. She lived there with her mother, sister and brother for 19 years and immigrated after WWII to Stowe, PA. She married Eligio Viola one year later after his immigration to the US. They lived most of their lives in Havertown, PA where they raised their 3 children. They relocated to Sterling, VA in 2004 to be closer to their grandchildren. Pia was a devout Catholic, loved her family very much, and was an excellent cook. She loved nothing more than having her family all together for large Italian dinners. She was a kind, gentle lady who was loved by everyone, and will be dearly missed.

Predeceased by her husband Eligio “Al” Viola.

Survived by her children Louis R. (the late Myriam), Robert “Bob” M. (Eleni Evangelopoulos), and Rosann Fronczak (Donald), her three grandchildren Richard (Grace), Christopher (Mayumi) and Matthew, two great-grandchildren Caleb and Parker, and numerous family members in Italy.

Relatives & friends are invited to her Visitation, Saturday March 23 at 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM ALL IN CHURCH at St. Bernadette’s Church 1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Interment at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
