Richard “Dicky” Fallon, 69, of Broomall, PA, passed away suddenly on May 22, 2026. He was born on July 17, 1956, to the late Elizabeth and Robert Fallon.
Dicky is survived by his brother, Robert Fallon of Fredonia, NY, and his companion, Debra Atherholt. He will be remembered as a beloved friend, mentor, and consummate prankster who had a remarkable ability to make people laugh. With a well-timed joke, a mischievous grin, or a clever remark, Dicky could ease any tense moment and bring joy to those around him.
A graduate of Marple-Newtown High School, Dicky earned a degree in Business from Delaware County Community College. He began his career at the Men’s Grill at Aronimink Golf Club and later continued at Overbrook Golf Club, where he became well known and deeply respected by members. Over the years, his work at Aronimink and Overbrook brought him into contact with hundreds of people—many of whom became lifelong friends. Between his time at the two clubs, Dicky joined local entrepreneurs in opening a restaurant venture. Although the restaurant was short-lived, he always cherished the experience and the relationships that grew from it.
Dicky was known for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need. To him, everyone was a friend once you met him—and if you hadn’t yet, it usually only took a quick joke to break the ice. He had a natural gift for turning ordinary moments into something memorable, often with a playful quip or a well-placed bit of humor that left others smiling long after.
A familiar face at Casey’s in Newtown Square, Dicky was a regular who was deeply missed whenever he wasn’t there. He enjoyed his daily crossword puzzles, spending time with friends, and, above all, sharing laughter—whether through a joke, a story, or a harmless prank. His presence created a sense of connection and camaraderie wherever he went, and his absence leaves a lasting void for all who knew him.
We will miss our great friend and the many laughs we shared. His spirit lives on in the countless memories he created and in the enduring friendships he valued so deeply.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Inurnment will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.

Dickie was like an uncle to me. He was my dad‘s best friend and I remember as a little girl always running into overbook and going straight to the room where Dickie worked. He was the best and will be missed dearly.
