It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Richard McHale, who left us peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the age of 92. A devoted family man, passionate sports fan, and avid gardener, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Born on April 7, 1932 in Philadelphia, Richard was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia. He dedicated his life to his family, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being. As a father, he was nurturing and supportive, encouraging his children to pursue their dreams while instilling in them the values of hard work and kindness.
A true Philadelphia sports enthusiast, Richard was an unwavering supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles, The Philadelphia Flyers and the Philadelphia Phillies. Sundays in the fall were sacred, filled with cheers and the thrill of game day, while summer evenings were often spent watching the Phillies light up the field. His passion for sports was infectious. Beyond his love for sports, Richard had a green thumb and found solace in his garden. He spent countless hours nurturing his plants. He loved to reminisce and tell stories of the past and he was always quick with a joke.
As we say goodbye to our beloved father, we take comfort in knowing that he is now in a place where the Eagles always win and the Phillies are champions. Thank you, Dad, for the love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. You will be missed beyond words. “Same Here”
