Rita A. Maltese

MALTESE

Rita A., (nee Monzo) age 96, on May 12, 2026, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Glenolden.

Rita was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all. She loved nothing more than cooking and entertaining everyone. In her younger years she was a skilled seamstress and dress maker; designing and making many wedding gowns. In later years she enjoyed playing games, bingo and especially cards with her friends. She will be dearly missed.

Predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Maltese, her grandson, Christopher, and her parents, Anna (nee Lerro) and David Monzo.

Survived by her sons, Gaeton “Guy” Maltese (Kathy) and Richard “Rick” Maltese (Rachelle), her grandchildren, Malissa Brady (Bill), Carla Botos (Pete), Thomas (Nicole), Erica Alexiadis (Steve), and Gregory (Heather), and her 11 great-grandchildren.

Relatives & friends are invited to her Viewing Thursday, May 21st, 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM followed by her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM ALL IN CHURCH at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, 136 Saxer Ave, Springfield, PA 19064. Entombment Saints Peter and Paul Garden Mausoleum.
