Robert “Bob” Ferguson passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 21, 2024.
Bob was born on July 5, 1929 in Chester, PA, to the late Horace G. and Hazel Ferguson. He was the seventh of nine children. Bob was an avid sports fan. Although a lifelong Yankee lover, ironically, Bob had a try-out with the Philadelphia Phillies. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954 as a radioman on the USS Abbott. He was a sheet metal mechanic and a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 19 for over 30 years before retiring in 1993. Bob was a jack of all trades and enjoyed building and repairing things. But his greatest joy of all was being with his grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Dolores; his daughters Patty (Joe) Cucinotta and Nita (Mack) Macatee; his grandsons Joe (Dawn), Rob, and John (Lauren) Cucinotta and his granddaughter Trish (Steve) Scheetz; his ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Jane Burch; and many nieces and nephews.
