ROEBUCK

Robert “Bob” E., age 71, on December 24, 2024, of Wayne, PA formerly of Newtown Square, Havertown, and Broomall, PA.

Known as “Bobby” and “Bo Roe,” he was a devoted son, a wonderful brother, an adoring uncle, a loyal friend, and the kindest, most genuine person.

He was most affectionately known as “Uncle Bob,” the epitome of the fun uncle, not only to his nieces and nephews but also to all their friends, neighbors, and teammates through the years. He had a special way of making everyone, especially children, feel important.

Born and raised in Broomall, Bob attended St. Pius X grade school, Cardinal O’Hara High School, and St. Joseph’s University. He followed his father to Alcom Printing, formerly Havertown Printing, where he worked for decades before retiring in 2020.

He cherished time with his family and friends. Whether it was a Friday night in with Italian Delite pizza, a happy hour at Barnaby’s, or a beach day down the Shore, Bob was pumped up about it.

He threw himself into everything he did. He approached his pickup softball and basketball games — and his nieces’ and nephews’ sporting events — with the same intensity as an Eagles playoff game. He was passionate about fitness and made some of his closest friends in spin class at the gym.

Bob’s excitement for life was infectious. He improved the moods of everyone around him, and touched countless lives with his quiet compassion.

Predeceased by his parents, Eileen V. (nee O’Brien) and Herbert L. Roebuck, and his siblings, Rev. John Roebuck and Helene Christie (the late Nicholas).

Survived by his siblings, Rosemary Rizzo (the late Frank), Michael (Joan), Edward (Carolyn), Bernadette Roebuck, Sheila McCarthy (Michael), and 19 loving nieces and nephews. Bob was also a loving great Uncle.

Relatives & friends are invited to his Viewing Friday, January 3rd 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM ALL IN CHURCH at St. Pius X Church 220 Lawrence Rd, Broomall, PA 19008. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
