Robert “Big Bob” J. Simone

Robert J. Simone “Big Bob” of Aston PA, 73, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on July 6,1951 in Philadelphia, PA. He was a man known for his quick wit and legendary one-liners. Bob brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marie; his 2 sons Robert (Christina) and Michael (Kelley) and his 4 grandchildren, Michael, Sebastian, Rocco, and Vincent; his brother Charles, his niece Jeannine, and his much loved sister-in-law Angie.

His love for music started early, singing in an Acapella group called the Q-Tones back in his teenage years growing up in Darby. His passion for music stayed with him throughout his life, especially in his love for Frank Sinatra. Whether he was behind the wheel of his beloved Hyundai, the “Frank” Sonata or out on the water fishing and crabbing, he found happiness in life’s simple pleasures.

Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army from October 1969 to 1971, spending the last year of his service stationed in Germany.

He built a successful career in the financial industry as a commercial lender, dedicating over 40 years in the banking industry.

Bob loved vacationing in North Wildwood, spending time on the beach with his friends and family and searching for “good deals” at yard sales. His humor, warmth, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of laughter and love will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday Morning, March 11th 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM followed by his Funeral Service 12:00 NOON in the Main Chapel at the DAnjolell Memorial Home of Broomall 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Interment Saints Peter and Paul.
