Robert L. “Bob”, McKinney, 92, of Wilmington Delaware, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025.

Bob served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955.

Early in his career, he worked at the Chester Times (Delaware County Daily Times), then as a foreman for the Chester Housing Authority. He later went on to work for Kennett Consolidated School District, where he retired.

He enjoyed all 5 Philly Sports Teams, going to the Casino, the Jersey shore, vacationing with his wife while visiting his brother in Florida. Most of all, Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was the loving Father of Robert (Gloria) McKinney, Michael (Michelle) McKinney, Donna (George) Bentley, Edward (Carol) McKinney and Sharon (Tim) Snavely.

He is survived by 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife Esther McKinney, his Sister Catherine Mea and Brother James McKinney.

Viewing: Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing Monday, November 17, 2025 10:00am to 10:45am at the Danjolell-Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Road, Aston, PA. Services will be held at 11:00am in our Main Chapel. Burial will be private at a later date.

The Mac family I know most of you don’t know who I am but I know the hardness of losing someone that you all love. I’m very sorry for your loss but remember someday we’ll all be together again.
