Robert Nino DellaValle, a retired Philadelphia Police Officer, MainLine Health Security officer and resident of Broomall, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 78 surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Born on Apil 17, 1947, in Rapino, Italy. Robert was the son of the late Alfonso and Eva (nee Flacco) DellaValle and Clorinda (nee Parente) DellaValle.
Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Loretta M. (nee Fiocca) DellaValle; his three children, Gina Stuski (William), the late Robert Nino DellaValle, and Maria Abraham (James); along with his five grandchildren, Juliana, William, Rosalia, Robert, and Briella.
Robert immigrated from Italy with his father in 1954 from Rapino, Italy, where many of his relatives still reside. He was a graduate of St. Thomas More High School, Class of 1966. In 1967, Robert joined the United States Army Reserves SP4 USAR until March 1972. During that time, he became a Philadelphia Police Officer in 1969, serving in the 12th District, as well as the Narcotics Field Unit retiring in 1992. Following his Police service, Robert worked as a security guard at Lankenau Hospital for 23 years. During his spare time and after retirement, Robert enjoyed nothing more than his grandchildren, whether attending sporting events, recitals for his granddaughters, or just babysitting. They could always expect their nightly phone calls. Robert always had a fix or a project he took on and always had a solution, mostly during his weekends at his shore house in Sea Isle.
Relatives & friends are invited to his Viewing Monday evening, January 26th 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Tuesday morning, January 27th, 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM at the DAnjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008 followed by his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd, Broomall, PA 19008. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
