Ronald “Ron,” age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 22, 2025, of Springfield, PA, formerly of Southwest Philadelphia.

Predeceased by his parents, Teresa (nee DeVito) and Alexander Niemi.

Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Ann (nee Weber) Niemi, his adoring daughters, Carrie Niemi and Stephanie Beehler (Blake), his two cherishing granddaughters, Ria and Gianna Novik, and his caring sisters, Darlene Badon and Cheryl (nee Badon) Sterling.

Ron served in the Air Force for four years and a few years after he was discharged from the Military, he met the love of his life Mary Ann who he was married to for 56 years. Ron would plan surprise weekend trips with the family and not tell anyone where we were going until we got there. He had a witty, one liner sense of humor about him. When we moved to Springfield he loved to garden. He planted flowers, vegetables, trees etc. He preferred to be outside in the garden where he could relax and enjoy the view and the peace and quiet.

Relatives & friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday, December 30^th, 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM ALL IN CHURCH at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, 136 Saxer Ave, Springfield, PA 19064.  Interment to follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
