Rose M. Jordan, 103, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a remarkable life defined by strength, resilience, independence, and unwavering determination. Through every season of life, she faced challenges with grace and courage, inspiring everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Born on December 4, 1922, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rose proudly served as a Rosie the Riveter at the Philadelphia Navy Yard during World War II, helping build the USS Battleship New Jersey. She later devoted her life to raising six children and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and resilience.
Rose found her greatest joy in bringing people together. Whether gathered around her table for her legendary Sunday gravy and meatballs or dancing with family and friends, she had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel at home. She loved music, especially Frank Sinatra and Engelbert Humperdinck, and you could count on her to encourage everyone to get up and dance. She also enjoyed weekend trips to the casino, trying her luck at the slot machines, never passing up a good cream puff, and making memories with the people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Antonio and Antoinette DiBartolomeo, and her twelve siblings.
Rose is lovingly survived by her six children: Antoinette’’Dolly’’ Cook (Joseph) ,Kermit Jordan Jr. (“Steve”), Robert Jordan, David Jordan (Denise), Sarah McAleer (Patrick Jr.), and Kevin Jordan Sr-DiCamillo (Frank); her 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched, especially her close nieces, Gloria Donnon and Jeanette Smith.
Her legacy of strength, perseverance, unconditional love, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Tuesday evening 5 -7pm & Wednesday 8:30-10am at the Danjolell – Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Rd. Aston.
Funeral Mass 10:30 am Wed. at St. Joseph Church 3255 Concord Rd. Aston.
Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
