He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maria A. Messner Weaverling; his sons, John J. McAllister, Russell L. Jr., and William R. Weaverling; his daughter, Barbara McAllister, his son-in-law Robert Spencer and his brother Chester W. Weaverling, Jr. and 13 loving grandchildren.
