Thomas E. Moffatt

Thomas E. Moffatt of St. Michaels, MD, died at his home on Wednesday, January 30, 2008. He was 91.

Born November 19, 1916 in Chanute, KS, he was the son of the late Stephenson G. and Myrtle Winterraud Moffatt. After graduating from Chanute High School, he attended Coffeyville Jr. College. During WWII, he served as a signalman in the U.S. Coast Guard. He worked as a supervisor at Boeing-Vertol and after moving to the Eastern Shore of MD in 1975, he served as a courier for Maryland National Bank.

He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in St. Michaels, E.E. Streets Memorial Post 5118 V.F.W. and B.P.O. Easton Elks Lodge 1622.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Imogene Moffatt, who died in August 1972 and his second wife, Jean L. Moffatt, who died January 30, 2002.

Mr. Moffatt is survived by four children; Sue Mulhern of Media, PA, Veberly Woller and her husband Paul of St. Michaels, Kenny Leonard of Trappe, and Ricky Leonard and his wife Jane of St. Michaels; a sister, Ruby Nantz of Chanute, KS, 7 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 11:30 AM at Fellows, Helfenbien and Newman Funeral Home, P.A., Easton, MD.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to a favorite charity.
