William Stuart MacLaren of Bryn Mawr, formerly of Broomall, died on Nov. 21, 2004.
Stuart served in the Pacific Theater during WWII as a fighter pilot flying the P-47 Thunderbolt.
Following the war in 1945, he was a co-owner of MacLaren Fuel Oil Co., retiring in 1999. Stuart was also a "life" member at Overbrook Golf Club. Brother of the late Donald, Robert, Joseph, John H. and Margaret, he is survived by his son Andrew S. Sandy MacLaren, his daughter, Leslie B. MacLaren and his 4 grandchildren; Brittany, Hali, Chelsey and Drew. He is also survived by his sisters; Lura Sauers, Anna Peters and his sister-in-law Jean MacLaren.
